PAMECARBON ABOUT US

Biochar manufacturer for European industry

Pamecarbon biochar production plant in Samsun

Our Vision

Pamecarbon was founded in Samsun, Turkey, with the goal of supplying European industry with high-quality biochar — a renewable alternative to coal and coke. As feedstock, we use exclusively agricultural production waste — with no wood and no deforestation. This means our production does no harm to forest ecosystems, and instead processes material that would otherwise be disposed of while releasing CO₂ into the atmosphere. For this reason, our biochar falls into the carbon negative category of products.

Our team brings together specialists in high-temperature thermochemistry, chemical analysis and international trade. Together we create products that meet the highest requirements of European metallurgical and industrial companies.

Biochar, biocoal or biocarbon? For the metallurgical industry this product is relatively new, and no single established terminology has formed yet: in correspondence and technical documentation it is called biochar, biocoal, or biocarbon — sometimes the same client uses all three names across different letters. Technically, all these terms refer to the same material — calcinated biocarbon that has undergone high-temperature thermal treatment. Pamecarbon works with this product regardless of which name is used in your inquiry.

Our Approach

The quality of biochar is determined at every stage — from feedstock selection to the packaging of the finished product. We work only with agricultural production waste — with no wood and no deforestation — which rules out unwanted impurities and ensures a consistent chemical composition from batch to batch.

Thermal treatment is carried out under precisely controlled temperature regimes, allowing us to reach target values for fixed carbon, ash content, and sulphur and phosphorus levels. Every batch undergoes laboratory analysis with a quality certificate issued.

Our Process

Working with a new client follows four stages: agreeing on the product's technical requirements, providing laboratory samples, technological testing on the client's side, and signing a supply agreement. This path — from the first inquiry to the first batch — takes an average of 4-8 weeks.

We ship biochar in big bags and in bulk through the nearest port. This gives us a logistical advantage over remote producers: shipment by sea, rail or road to any point in Europe takes about a week. Our stable production cycle lets us meet agreed shipment deadlines for any order volume.
